Congratulations, You're Mr. Forsyth Smythe-Ffrench!

(And no, that spelling is not a misprint. See Agatha Christie, Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?) You appear briefly in Book Three, The Tesseract.

“The witness took the stand. He was a middle-aged man and extremely well dressed. ‘Do you see any reason why your company should not be fined and punished to the full extent of the law?’ asked Edwin Puppy. ‘Nope, sounds fair to me,’ replied the witness. ‘Hey, wait a minute, aren’t you supposed to be defending us?”

The book character is a corporate executive, but there are others with far less privilege who share some characteristics with him. If this is you, please don’t lose hope! Remember that “Divide and conquer” is an old, old strategy used by tyrants with great success. Maybe don’t fall for it this time!
